Jen Hopkins
'17: Government & Politics
Current residence: Albany, NY
Time on Women's Crew: 3.5 years

Exec board position: Vice president & social chair
Favorite memory: When I was able to arrange purchasing the Ostasewski (quad boat). And then being able to surprise coach Jess with naming the quad after her.
Least favorite workout: 6K
Short bio: Jen Hopkins is currently a practicing attorney in New York. She graduated from St. John’s University School of Law in June 2021, and from the University of Maryland in December 2017. While at UMD, she majored in government and politics and was very involved with the women’s crew team. She misses rowing very much and hopes to coach one day!
Jen Braud (Buhr)
'04: Supply Chain & Operations Management
Current residence: Austin, TX

Favorite memory: Any time we were able to travel for a race
Least favorite workout: Stadium Stairs (I always felt like I would trip and fall!)
Short bio: I rowed the first fall racing season after the creation of the team. After graduating, I coached the women’s team for 2 years. I got my first professional internship (and subsequent job after graduation) through my coach at the time. I met my husband from the men’s crew team. My life long college best friends are people I met from the crew team.
Professionally: I oversee all of the logistics aspects of Apple’s new product launches. I also lead a team of people focused on decarbonizing the supply chain.
Personally: My husband and I have 3 children ranging in age from 4 to 10. We call Austin, Tx home but my heart is still in Maryland. I have not been in a crew boat in a very long time but I have kept up with rowing (including a couple marathons) on my erg every now and then.

Favorite memory: Meeting my best friends and my future husband
Least favorite workout: Stairs at Byrd Stadium
Short bio: Stephanie lives in Alexandria with her husband, Jason (former rower and coach), and two daughters. She is the managing editor for a medical journal and enjoys taking her kids back to campus for football and basketball games.
